Camping

We attempted a campout in the back yard on the long weekend. We decided to go this way so if we needed anything it was close by. Also little Katie May got to go to sleep at her regular time in her crib while we brought the monitor outside.

We let the dogs on the grass so we could have the full camping experience. They normally have the electric fence so they can’t come on the grass only in the dog run area.

Starting to get a little excited about the stars

The last picture is just before we decided it would be a good idea to actually sleep inside. JJ just got way too excited from all the stars he was not going to sleep. As soon as we got inside to his bed he passed out. It was even better then real camping.

update

Our little man is the pickiest eater I have ever seen but at least now he has become picky to the point that he only eats fresh fruits and veggies. I really can’t complain. His favourite food is tomatoes.

IMG_7928

This little girl is the complete opposite. She will eat anything she can get her hands on. I really never got a chance introducing her to certain foods before others because anything JJ put down she had in her mouth.

During that heat wave we had the kids just hung out in diapers and underwear inside most of the day. This is how I found JJ watching Cars in his room.

Katie's First Steps

Our little Princess took her first steps today! Again the first thing I did was call daddy to tell him the news. She has been doing it all day so when I finally got the camera out she was a little tired and only did a few on camera. She has started about the exact same time as when her brother started, only 3 days different in age. That means I'm gonna be a very busy and tired momma.

Rainbow

Here are the rest of the pictures I was talking about in the last post. They are from our famous Nanaimo Bathtub weekend firework show. They are actually from before the show when we went for a walk to the park, got some cotton candy and relaxed on the SANDS funeral home deck.

Jordan’s very first time having cotton candy. He ran the entire way back to the funeral home after eating a bit of it. Can you say sugar high?

I may have taken a few too many pictures of the rainbow but it was the most amazing rainbow I have ever seen. Unfortunately the odd raindrop came down on my lens so it had a few speckles at times.

Look at that!

In this picture you can see the clouds lit up from the lightning on the mainland

It was a little difficult and every time I looked away the lightning struck but I got a couple of pictures of it.

This last picture is of the same area. the top is with the lightning and the bottom is just after.

2009 Nanaimo Bathtub Fireworks

Last night we had my parents over and went to the funeral home to enjoy the famous Nanaimo bathtub fireworks. It turned out to be one of the most amazing firework shows I have ever seen. The mainland was having a lightning storm at the same time we were having our fireworks so it looked like part of the show. The video is 10min long but it is seriously the neatest thing I have ever seen so if you have the time watch it.

I also have some pictures of a beautiful rainbow that happened before the storm but haven’t had a chance to go through them yet.

After

The day we decided to purchase this house I new the front was missing something. So I sat down and drew on the MLS picture till I thought of adding an adorable little porch. Sean fell in love with my idea for the house and we decided it was one of our main things to do to this house. This is Sean’s week of holidays so his goal was to build our porch which he has just completed. I can’t believe how much I love it. It has made this my dream home, I never want to leave. I have always wanted that cute little house with the porch in the front that you can sit at and enjoy your morning coffee or just sit and relax. It also has my little red door :)

This is where we sit back and relax. In a few years when we have a bit more money we plan to make the whole bottom a wooden deck.

Solids?

not much to say about these pictures, they speak for themselves. I just can’t believe how much our little Katie May eats and how she will eat anything. Very different then her brother who I'm not even sure how he is alive with the amount he eats. Anyways these pictures are of Katie May stealing her brothers grilled cheese.

IMG_7625 IMG_7619

She is constantly eating and if she doesn't have food in her hand she is on the hunt for it. I can not believe how different they are.

IMG_7622 IMG_7624

I'm sure glad someone enjoyed the sandwich I made.
