Olympic Torch

The Olympic Torch started running across Canada here in Vancouver Island which was pretty cool. We had the privilege of seeing it run beside us while we were all decked out in our Olympic gear my mom picked up for us the other day.

He actually waved at the kids which made them feel really special.

Halloween 2009

 

 

We carved the pumpkins earlier in the day on Halloween to get the kids excited

This is Katie’s little pumpkin just like her!

 

JJ didn’t really like the pumpkin carving thing. He was really  upset with us when we started cutting the pumpkins he started crying on the floor till we were done and he could see the result. Poor little guy thought we were killing them.

Jordan did really well he walked the whole way around our little neighbourhood. At the first two houses he hid behind me till he realized what people were giving him. He also picked up on the trick or treat thing but would say it before people would come to the door. One lady who thought he was cute told him to wait while she left to get a special treat and you should have seen JJ he was saying where she go looking around the corner for her. Katie came the whole way too but we put her in the stroller after the first few houses she just walked all over the place and tried to just go in the houses. Our house got over 70 kids which we weren’t expecting. We actually gave out almost all our candy poor Sean wasn’t happy about that.

Pumpkin patch and extras

On the weekend we took the kids to the pumpkin patch It wasn’t raining which was nice but it had rained the day before. So we all dressed in comfy clothes and boots then headed out. JJ didn’t really have a nap that day only 1/2hr so he was a little grumpy to start. You take a hay ride to where the pumpkins are then purchase your pumpkin and get a hay ride back. Of course JJ is a VERY big fan of trains and all that reminds him of trains. JJ believed that the hay ride was a train and once we stopped to get our pumpkin he wasn’t very happy. So Sean picked out two pumpkins and we ran as fast as we could to get back on the hay ride so JJ could be happy again. Poor little guy didn’t even care about the pumpkin patch experience all he cared about was the ride.

 

as you can see in this picture my kids are rebels they are both acting cool and not waiting in the designated waiting area :P
